Five Reasons Visitors Leave Without Buying
The patterns I see most often when a store has traffic and attention but not enough orders.

When a store gets visitors and few orders, the cause is rarely the product. It is usually one of a handful of experience problems that repeat across very different stores. Here are the five that come up most in the work I do.
1. The offer is not clear fast enough
- The headline describes the brand rather than the product
- Visitors have to scroll to learn what is being sold
- Several messages compete for the same first screen
- Fix: one sentence naming the product and who it helps, above everything else
2. The mobile experience is harder than the desktop one
- Buttons and variant selectors are too small or too close together
- Pop-ups cover content before the shopper reads anything
- Images push the price and button far down the page
- Fix: design the mobile product page first, then adapt upward
3. Doubt is never answered
- Delivery time, returns and sizing are hidden in policy pages
- There is no visible sign that other people have bought successfully
- Contact options are limited to a form with no response expectation
- Fix: answer the three most common questions on the page where they arise
4. Navigation asks the shopper to do the work
- Menus mirror internal structure instead of shopping intent
- Collections are large and unfiltered
- Search fails on the terms customers actually type
- Fix: reduce choices per step and label them the way customers speak
5. The path to checkout has friction
- Add to cart gives no clear confirmation or next step
- Costs appear late in the process
- Account creation is required before payment
- Fix: make each step confirm what happened and what comes next
None of these need a rebuild. They need someone to walk the journey honestly, note where a shopper would pause, and remove those pauses in order of impact.
